Cinnamon Tortilla Chips

Cinnamon tortilla chips are a snack food made from tortillas that have been cut into wedges, covered in cinnamon and sugar, and then baked until they are crispy. They are often eaten as a sweet snack and can be served with a variety of dips or toppings, such as fruit salsa, whipped cream, or chocolate sauce.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup cane sugar or evaporated cane sugar

  • 1 tsp. cinnamon

  • 4 tbsp. butter, margarine or buttery spread melted

  • 5 flour tortillas cut in triangles

Directions

  • Blend cinnamon and sugar in small bowl. Place sugar mixture on large plate.
  • Dip or brush margarine on flour triangles- both sides. Dip each triangle in sugar mixture on one side.
  • Place triangles, sugar side up, on cookie sheet and bake in a preheated oven at 350ºF for 8-10 minutes or until golden brown.
  • Also can be served with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream and a drizzle of chocolate syrup.
