
Creamed Chipped Beef
1/4 lb. dried chipped beef or beef prosciutto chopped
1 cup sliced mushrooms
3 tbsp. butter
2 tbsp. cornstarch
2 cups milk
salt and black pepper to taste
Saute mushrooms and dried beef in a skillet over medium- low heat. Saute mixture until mushrooms are tender. Stir in cornstarch. Slowly add milk and salt and pepper. Stir until mixture boils and sauce is slightly thickened. Pour over toast, pasta or mashed potatoes.
