Cinnamon Apple Cake

Cinnamon Apple Cake


1 cup sugar

1 egg

1/4 cup oil

1 tsp. vanilla

2 cups apples chopped

1 cup flour

1 tsp. baking soda

1 tsp. ground cinnamon

1/2 tsp. salt

1/2 cup walnuts or pecans chopped


Cream sugar, eggs, oil and vanilla in a bowl. Fold in apples. Combine dry ingredients in a bowl. Stir into creamed mixture and then pour into greased and floured 8 inch square cake pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 25-30 minutes or until done. Frost with cream cheese frosting or top with prepared caramel sauce and whipped cream.

* A greased and floured pan is a pan that has been greased with oil. Then about a tbsp. of flour is put in the pan and the flour is moved around the pan coating the bottom and sides of the pan to facilitate easier removal of cake slices.
