Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup sugar

  • 3 tbsp. cornstarch

  • 1/3 cup cocoa powder

  • 1/8 tsp. salt

  • 2 cups milk

  • 2 egg yolks slightly beaten

  • 1 tsp. vanilla

  • whipped cream

  • mini semi-sweet chocolate chips

Directions

  • Blend sugar, cornstarch, cocoa and salt in 2 quart saucepan. Combine milk and egg yolks. Gradually whisk into sugar mixture.
  • Cook over medium heat, whisking constantly until mixture thickens and boils. Boil and whisk 1 minute.
  • Remove from heat and stir in vanilla. Cool. Refrigerate pudding for a few hours before serving.
  • Pour into dessert cups and top with whipped cream and mini semi-sweet chocolate chips or shavings.
