Cheesy Broccoli and Rice

Ingredients

  • 1 cup rice

  • 1/4 cup butter or margarine

  • 1 small package frozen chopped broccoli florets cooked

  • 1 cup chopped celery

  • 1 cup chopped onion

  • 1/2 cup of milk

  • 10 3/4 oz. can of mushroom soup

  • 8 oz. chopped American cheese

  • dash salt and pepper

Directions

  • Prepare rice as directed on package. Mix with margarine. Cook broccoli according to directions.
  • In a greased baking dish, combine rice, broccoli, celery, onion and mix well.
  • In a bowl, mix milk, mushroom soup, American cheese and salt and pepper. Add this to rice mix.
  • Bake uncovered for 30 minutes in a preheated 350ºF oven or until fully cooked.
