French Onion Soup

French Onion Soup


2 cups onions thinly sliced

4 tbsp. butter

1 tbsp. flour

4 cups beef broth

dash salt and pepper

sprinkle parsley

parmesan cheese grated


In saucepan over low heat, cook onions in butter, stirring frequently until golden brown. Sprinkle flour over onions and stir. Add broth and salt and pepper. Bring mixture to a boil, stirring constantly. Reduce heat and simmer for 20 minutes. Ladle into soup bowls. Place toasted french bread slices on top of soup- slightly pressing into soup. Top with parmesan cheese.
