Rustic French Baguettes
1 1/2 cups warm water (105 F degrees)
2 tsp. (or 1/4 oz. package) active dry yeast
2 tbsp. extra virgin olive oil
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. sugar
4 cups bread flour extra flour
Combine water, yeast, oil, sugar and salt in a bread machine pan. Add flour. Set bread machine on the dough setting. Complete bread dough cycle. Remove dough onto floured flat surface. Divide dough into two long loaves. Gently roll each loave in flour to coat surface. Place loaves on cooking oil sprayed large cookie sheet. With a knife, lightly cut surface of each loaf top 2-3 inches on a diagonal. Allow to rise for about ten minutes. Bake in preheated 400 degree oven for 20-30 minutes or until loaves are golden brown.
