Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup cane sugar

  • 1/4 cup water

  • 1/2 tsp. ground cinnamon

  • 1/4 tsp. ground ginger

  • 2 cups walnut or pecan halves 

  • cooking spray 

Directions

  • Combine ingredients in a non-stick coated large skillet.
  • Heat mixture to 240 F degrees (firm-ball stage). Fold in nuts until coated with sugar mixture.
  • Bring mixture to boiling. Stirring constantly. Sugar mixture will start to form strands when stirred.
  • Spread nuts on cooking sprayed cookie sheet. Cool. Place and store in a covered container.
