Basic crepes are thin, pancake-like pastries made from a simple batter of flour, eggs, milk, and a pinch of salt. They can be served sweet or savory and are often filled or topped with ingredients such as fruit, whipped cream, cheese, meat, and vegetables. Crepes are a versatile dish in French cuisine and can be eaten for breakfast, lunch, dinner, or dessert.
