Ingredients

  • 1 cup sugar

  • 1 egg

  • 1/4 cup oil

  • 1 tsp. vanilla

  • 2 cups apples chopped

  • 1 cup flour

  • 1 tsp. baking soda

  • 1 tsp. cinnamon ground

  • 1/2 tsp. salt

  • 1/2 cup walnuts or pecans chopped

Directions

  • Cream sugar, eggs, oil and vanilla in a bowl. Fold in apples.
  • Combine dry ingredients in a bowl. Stir into creamed mixture
    and then pour into greased and floured 8 by 8 inch cake pan.
  • Bake in a preheated oven at 350ºF for 25-30 minutes or until done.
  • Frost with cream cheese frosting or top with prepared caramel sauce and whipped
    cream.
