Creamed Chipped Beef, also commonly known as “chipped beef gravy,” is a classic American dish made by cooking thin slices of dried beef in a creamy white sauce. The beef is typically chopped or “chipped” into small pieces and then added to a roux-based sauce made with milk, flour, and sometimes butter. This dish is often served over toast or biscuits and is a popular breakfast or brunch option. It is known for its rich, savory flavor and creamy texture.
