4 bread slices (depending on thickness)
1/2 cup cane sugar
1/4 cup butter or buttery spread softened
1/8 cup finely chopped almonds
1 tsp. ground cinnamon
dash salt
oil cooking spray
Directions
- With an electric mixer or spatula, cream butter, sugar and cinnamon,
and nuts in a small bowl. - Remove crust from bread slices. Cut bread slices into 1 1/2 inch wide sticks.
- Place bread sticks on an aluminum foil lined baking sheet sprayed with cooking
oil. Lightly toast bread sticks (on both sides) in an oven. - Remove sticks from oven. Spread butter/sugar/nut mixture on bread sticks and toast in oven again until butter is melted or until crispy- which ever way you like.
