Muffin Butter Biscuits

Muffin Buttermilk biscuits are made with flour, butter, baking powder, salt, and buttermilk. They are light and fluffy on the inside with a golden, crispy exterior. They can be served as a side dish with dinner, breakfast, brunch, or even as a snack. Buttermilk biscuits can also be served with jams, jellies or honey.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups flour

  • 1 tsp. baking powder

  • 1/2 tsp. salt

  • 1/4 cup butter softened

  • 2 cups buttermilk

Directions

  • Preheat oven to 425ºF. Measure dry ingredients in a bowl. Cut butter in flour mixture until fine crumbs are formed. Pour buttermilk into flour/butter mixture. Stir until mixed- not too much.
  • Place batter in a greased non-stick 12 muffin pan. Bake 15-20 minutes or until golden brown. Remove biscuits after cooled for 5 minutes.
