Shortbread is a type of Scottish cookie made with butter, sugar, and flour. It has a crumbly texture and a buttery taste. Traditional shortbread recipes usually do not include any additional flavors or ingredients, but modern versions can be made with different additions such as chocolate chips or dried fruit. Shortbread is a popular treat during the Christmas season in Scotland and throughout the world.
