2 tbsp. butter or margarine
1 tbsp. flour
1/4 tsp. paprika
1/8 tsp. salt
1 cup milk
1 cup american cheese cubed
- In a mid-size saucepan, over moderate heat, melt butter. Stir in flour and seasonings.
- Gradually add milk stirring constantly. Heat until smooth and thickened.
- Turn down to low heat. Add cheese and heat until melted. Serve over tortilla chips topped with pickled jalapenos or over cooked vegetables.
