  • 1/3 cup sugar

  • 3 tbsp. cornstarch

  • 1/8 tsp. salt

  • 2 cups milk

  • 2 egg yolks slightly beaten

  • 2 tbsp. butter or margarine

  • 2 tsp. vanilla

  • whipped cream

  • white chocolate chips


  • Combine sugar, cornstarch and salt in a 3 quart saucepan. Whisk milk and egg yolks in a mid-size bowl, gradually pour and whisk into sugar mixture in saucepan over medium heat.
  • Whisk constantly until mixture boils and thickens.
  • Boil and whisk 1 minute. Remove from heat and stir in butter and vanilla. Cool. Refrigerate pudding for a few hours before serving.
  • Pour into dessert cups and top with whipped cream and mini white chocolate chips or shavings.
